ORBINOX has supplied around (100x) knife gate valves to Renewcell, a company with the mission to make fashion circular. Renewcell has developed a new material called CIRCULOSE®, a Next Generation raw material derived from the recovery of cellulose found in worn-out clothing and transformed into a dissolving pulp made from 100% recycled textiles. The pulp serves as the foundation for various types of regenerated fibers, including viscose, lyocell, modal, acetate, and other man-made cellulosic fibers.
The production process of CIRCULOSE entails certain similarities with Pulp & Paper production processes. ORBINOX has once again shown its capabilities to adapt the knife gate valves mainly used in Pulp & Paper applications also to this new sustainable textile process
Through this project, ORBINOX emphasizes our support for sustainable initiatives that protect the environment. ORBINOX is at the same time also aligned with AVK's sustainability program, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to promoting environmentally friendly practices.
About Renewcell
Renewcell is a Swedish textile recycling company with a unique technology on a mission to change the global textile industry for the better.
Renewcell uses a patented process to breakdown and recycle cotton and other cellulosic textile waste, such as worn-out jeans and production scraps, to create CIRCULOSE®, a biodegradable raw material that can be used to create viscose, lyocell, modal, acetate and other man-made cellulosic fibers. These regenerated fibers are then spun into yarns, woven or knitted into fabrics before being cut and sewn into new high-quality textile products.
